When does WoW Forever launch?
Official WoW Forever launches worldwide on 4 Nov 2026 at 3:00 pm PT.
When is the WoW Forever beta?
Official The beta runs from 17 Sep 2026 to 21 Oct 2026. Guaranteed access comes with the Skyborne Epic Pack, the Warcraft Forever Collection and the Collector's Edition, and a free opt-in gives everyone else a chance to be picked.
How do I get a WoW Forever beta invite?
Official Opt in for free on the official WoW Forever page. Invites go out in waves through the test and selected accounts are flagged automatically. Buying the Epic Pack, the Collection or the Collector's Edition guarantees access within about 30 minutes.
Is the WoW Forever beta open to everyone?
Official No. Access is only guaranteed with the Skyborne Epic Pack, the Warcraft Forever Collection or the Collector's Edition. Anyone can opt in for free on the official WoW Forever page for a chance to be selected. The Skyborne Heroic Pack does not include beta access.
What is the level cap in the WoW Forever beta?
Official The beta opened at level cap 20, and Blizzard will raise it to 30 later in the test. No date has been given.
Will my WoW Forever beta character carry over to launch?
Verified No. Everyone starts at level 1 at launch, and developers said beta progress does not carry over.
What is in the WoW Forever beta right now?
Official Week 1 has the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle, the Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron dungeons, and every zone's content up to level 20. More zones, dungeons and the new battleground open as the beta continues.
What is the WoW Forever Server Slam?
Official A window later in the beta when Blizzard opens the servers to everyone for several hours. The date will be announced closer to the time.
Do addons work in WoW Forever?
Official Yes, on the modern client API with the same restrictions as Midnight: combat values are hidden from addons, and Blizzard provides a built-in damage meter, cooldown manager and swing timer.
Is there flexible raid sizing in WoW Forever?
Official No. Each tier has one 10-player and one 20-player raid, with 40-player raids in some tiers starting with Onyxia's Lair. There is a single difficulty and no cross-faction grouping.
Is GDKP allowed in WoW Forever?
Official No. Blizzard said GDKP raids are not allowed and that it will monitor the economy and punish gold buying.
Can I play WoW Forever on a Mac?
Official Yes. The minimum is macOS 12 with an Apple M2 or a 9th generation Intel processor and 8 GB of RAM.
Do I need a subscription to play WoW Forever?
Official Yes. Forever is included with a World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time. Optional upgrade packs add content and cosmetics.
Is the Skyborne race free?
Official No. The Skyborne race and its Zephras Isle starting zone come with the paid upgrade packs, starting with the Skyborne Heroic Pack.
When do the first raids open?
Official Barrow Deeps (10 players) and Hyjal Summit (20 players) open on 9 Dec 2026.
When can I reserve character names?
Official Early name reservation runs from 27 Oct 2026 to 3 Nov 2026 and comes with any upgrade pack. You can reserve up to 3 names.
When does Hardcore arrive in WoW Forever?
Official Hardcore arrives after launch, in winter. Hardcore characters can move to other rule sets, but only one way.
