WoW Forever leveling builds
A leveling build for every class in the WoW Forever beta: the tree to take, the exact talent order from level 10 to 20, what to train, how to play it and which race to pick. Each build is cross-checked against the beta client and only listed when independent guides agree.
Choose your class
Priest: Shadow (wand leveling)
Level a WoW Forever Priest with 2 points in Wand Specialization, then 5 in Spirit Tap, then start Shadow: Shadow Word: Pain, Mind Blast on cooldown and a wand does most of the killing, and Spirit Tap refills you after each kill. Mind Flay lands at level 22 on this route.
Shaman: Enhancement
Level a WoW Forever Shaman as Enhancement with a two-handed weapon: Thundering Strikes 5/5 first for crit, Improved Ghost Wolf for travel, Mental Dexterity to turn your Intellect into attack power, and Shamanistic Focus at 20 so shocks cost 45% less mana.
Druid: Feral
Level a WoW Forever Druid as Feral: Ferocity 5/5 first to make Bear and Cat abilities cheap, Feral Swiftness for speed and dodge, Heart of the Wild for stats, then Feral Charge at 20. Bear Form carries you from 10 to 19 and Cat Form takes over at 20.
Warrior: Fury (first 11 points)
Level a WoW Forever Warrior by putting the first 11 points in Fury even if you plan Arms later: Cruelty 5/5 for crit, Unbridled Wrath 5/5 to fix the Rage starvation everyone in the beta is complaining about, and Piercing Howl at 20 to control packs and runners.
Paladin: Retribution
Level a WoW Forever Paladin as Retribution: Benediction 5/5 first because mana is the limit, Improved Judgement for a faster Judgement, three points in Conviction for crit, and Seal of Command at 20 on the slowest two-hander you can find. Holy Strike at level 6 makes the early levels the easiest they have ever been.
Hunter: Beast Mastery
Level a WoW Forever Hunter as Beast Mastery: Deadly Aspects 5/5 first, the only damage talent at zero points, then Focused Fire for you and your pet, Pathfinding for speed, and pet talents to reach Unleashed Fury in the 20s. A boar holds everything while you shoot.
Rogue: Combat (swords)
Level a WoW Forever Rogue as Combat with swords: Improved Sinister Strike 2/2 first because the beta is Energy-starved, Improved Eviscerate 3/3, Precision 3/3 so nothing misses, then Deflection or Puncturing Wounds to 20. Instant Poison on both weapons from 20 and Riposte in the early 20s.
Mage: Frost
Level a WoW Forever Mage as Frost: Improved Frostbolt 5/5 first for a half-second faster Frostbolt, Permafrost for longer slows, two points in Ice Shards for crit damage, and Ice Lance at 20, the new 11-point talent that deals 300% more damage to Frozen targets after a Frost Nova.
Warlock: Affliction (Voidwalker)
Level a WoW Forever Warlock as Affliction with a Voidwalker: Improved Corruption 5/5 first so Corruption is instant and 10% stronger, then Improved Drains, Improved Life Tap and Soul Harvesting so you never stop to drink. Bane of Agony, Corruption, wand, Drain Life, repeat.
How WoW Forever leveling builds work
- First point at level 10, then one per level: 11 points by 20 and 21 by 30, which is where the cap sits during the beta.
- Milestones at 11, 16, 21 and 31 points. The 16-point milestone is new in Forever, so most builds change shape between 25 and 27.
- Every tree was retuned. Talents you remember may have moved or changed numbers; the talent calculator shows exact tooltips and every class change with its source.
- Legacy helps later. The Talented perk gives your first point as early as level 5 once you have Legacy points, and Well Rested speeds up alts. See Legacy progression.
