How we grade WoW Forever information
Every fact on Forever Classic carries a grade that tells you how sure we are, and a source you can open. Game data comes from the game files, news from Blizzard and independent reporting, and map positions from beta testers, and each is graded the same way.
The four grades
A grade describes the evidence, not how important the fact is. The same scale is used on news pages, the talent calculator notes and the map.

| Official | Blizzard said it, in an announcement, panel, recap, blue post or the game itself. |
| Verified | Two or more independent reports agree, or two testers report the same map position. |
| Reported | One source says it, often from demo footage. Shown, clearly marked, until it is confirmed or corrected. |
| Unconfirmed | Sources disagree. Both versions are shown with their sources, and nothing is presented as settled. |
Where the information comes from
Game files
Talent trees, ranks, tooltip numbers, racial abilities and the race and class table are read from the game's own data tables. The calculator currently uses Classic Era build 1.15.9.69722, which is what Forever starts from, and is rebuilt from Forever's own files when the beta opens.
Blizzard
Announcements, panel recaps, blue posts and official footage are the only sources graded Official. These are the only outside sources we link to directly.
Independent reports
Coverage of the panels and the demo fills gaps Blizzard has not written up. Reports count toward a grade and are listed as independent reports. We do not copy another fan site's database or calculator, and a figure found only in one is left out.
Player uploads
Testers run our free collector addon, which records creature and quest positions and nothing about the player. A position is Reported from one tester and Verified once two agree; disagreements wait for review.
How pages stay current
News pages show the date they were last checked, currently 17 Sep 2026. When Blizzard or the beta changes something, the page is updated and the check date moves. Stand-in icons and placeholder values are labelled as such until the beta files replace them.
Corrections
If something on the site is wrong, tell us with a source if you have one. Corrections are made on the page itself, dated, and stated plainly: what we said, what is right, and where it comes from. We do not quietly change a figure.
