WoW Forever PvP and Honor
WoW Forever has no rated PvP. Instead there is a new Honor track that resets each season in step with raid tiers, with developers saying rank 14 is reachable within a cycle. Honor gains are tuned so one battleground cannot dominate, the new 15 v 15 Darkspear Islands battleground has its own reputation track, and more battlegrounds are planned.
How the WoW Forever Honor system works
- Seasonal track. Honor resets each season, aligned with raid releases, with cosmetic and stat rewards along the way.
- Rank 14 each cycle. Developers said the top rank is reachable within each content cycle rather than through months of continuous play.
- Balanced battlegrounds. Honor gains are tuned so farming one battleground, such as Alterac Valley, is not the best route.
- No rated PvP. There are no arenas or rated battlegrounds. A Mak'gora Arena and a Hyjal Crater queue appear in the beta client but are unannounced.
- Shared across rule sets. Battlegrounds are shared across the Normal, PvP and Roleplay rule sets, and the PvP rule set has faction balancing. See which rule set to pick.
